Maybe we didn’t go far enough last time we went in search of a poppy field. So we drove further south on Highway 49 to Jackson. No poppy field. It was then I decided that there would be no golden orange field for me this year. Little clusters of poppies were along the road. We even went further than Jackson to Mokelumne Hill, a quaint little town that Marlene and I had been to before. No poppy field!
So here are some pictures from Mokelumne Hill.
Now on to Jackson and lunch.
In an antique store window. How much would you pay for this? A model trailer made from wood. We didn’t go downstairs. Timed reflections. The old courthouse. I’ve taken pictures of this church before. It’s still beautiful. This gentleman was walking with his banjo in a case. He seemed glad to have his picture taken. Cute little dog! I call this picture “Feed Me!” What would you call it?
Next year will be the year for me to find a poppy field! In the meantime I did have fun taking photos with my photo buddies.

I really liked the visit to Mokelumne and Jackson, although I am sorry you did not find poppies.

Thanks Ana! We did find poppies, but not fields of them growing wild. It’s a beautiful sight.

Beautiful glimpses.
I noticed that when you came over and liked one of my posts (the dog poem) and when I clicked on your name, the link to your blog was not working. Only when I googled your name, I found my way here. 🙂 Just to notify you, if you wish to replace that blog with this one in your profile.

Thanks Manja. I’m confused though. I’ve been having trouble with Facebook and a little with WordPress. But, I only have this blog. My Facebook account was hacked. That was the beginning of it all. I’ll investigate!

I don’t think it’s related. Your WordPress profile leads to http://www.slowshutterspeed.com/. You need to find where you can change this with the correct URL of your blog https://annegeephoto.com/ . And thank you for all your visits!

I love being a tourist with you since I don’t get to NoCal too often! Nice series – fave is the mailboxes – makes me think of baby birds begging for food!

Thanks -N! That’s exactly what I thought about the mail boxes. Thank you for understanding the shot.
