I’m certainly drawn to color. Red especially. So, it delights me that Sofia picked this topic as her challenge this week. On Monday, I was rear ended by a large pickup truck, so I’ll keep this short and sweet. I’m okay.

Red. Let’s start off with my favorite:

Next yellow:

Blue:

I’ll end with some colorful photos:

Thanks Sofia for bringing some color into my life when I need it! Much appreciated. Please link to Sofia’s post when you publish and use the Lens-Artists tag. I totally enjoyed your responses to John’s topic of Faces in the Crowd last week. There was some great images and street photography. I’m up next, so look for my post. Until then, stay out of the way of pickup trucks especially when you’re sitting still at a stop light! Stay safe.

    1. Thanks Bush Boy! I kinda like using the Tower Bridge as a focal point for fireworks. They moved them one year and it wasn’t the same. But, I do appreciate your input. I’m going to have to figure out another vantage point anyway.

  1. Beautiful choices Anne, loved them all I’m one of those weird people that don’t like clowns but I live a fabulous portrait and your clown definitely is that!! So glad you’re ok. Hope you’re back to 100% very soon

    1. Thanks Leanne! I’m okay. The bruised sternum will heal, but the stress of the accident pushed me into a huge Epstein Barr cycle, meaning I have no energy to do much. This will take more time to get through. Worse is the loss of my car.

  2. Primary colors – great series and a fun topic, too. These series you do are very challenging and can result in new trains of thought as well as directions. When at a loss, prompts can open doors. As far as your accident, I hope all goes well and no one was injured beyond the cars. Be sure to take care of yourself as you recover.

    1. Thanks -N! You are right. These challenges do lead us in different direction and expose us to new ideas. Coming up with the challenge makes us find creativity, and I’m not that creative! Regarding the accident, there’s not much help but rest, time and pain killers! I’ll recover.

  3. Me again Anne, and with a bit of a cheeky question! Firstly, I hope you’re doing OK after your accident? And secondly, I know you’re hosting the coming challenge and others have mentioned you’re focusing on B&W and monochrome. I wouldn’t normally ask for a heads-up, but we’re going away on Sunday and I won’t see your post until 5.00 PM UK time. It sounds like one I’d hate to miss so would you be able to confirm if in ‘monochrome’ you’re planning to include colour monochromes like the ones in my primary colours post? If so I’ll put together another gallery on similar lines but with a non-primary shade (or two!)

    1. Okay Sarah, here’s your heads up. It will be on black and white and monochrome, explaining the difference. But you know the difference already! Sorry about the late response, but I didn’t get to my computer yesterday.
Got a cold on top of the repercussions from the accident. August was a tough month.

      1. Thank you Anne, and I’m sorry to hear about the cold, on top of everything else 🤗 Here’s hoping September is a better month for you! And you’re not late at all, I only posted this comment a few hours ago.

  4. Beautiful, vibrant colors, Anne! I love the clown. I hope you’re starting to feel better. The accident really knocked you off your feet. And I see you have a cold, too. Yikes. Take care.

      1. That wouldn’t help. I couldn’t find Sofia’s link. If people would just put the link to the prompt in their posts it would be such a help. I usually see these prompts on someone else’s post to them and if they don’t give a link, I am lost.

        1. So sorry, to get the link, you need to copy and paste the web address into your post. Usually we don’t put the link in when we write a post. If you have a PC: Just go to the top, highlight the address, press the “C” key, create a new post and then paste the link into your post. Sofia will also be checking the reader for replies to her post. I’m posting tomorrow’s challenge. If you have a problem, just let me know in the comments. We’ll get this solved for you.
