Here in California when we think of Napa Valley, we think of grapes, wineries and wine. And, there was no shortage of that on the third day of my short get-away trip with Sandy and Peg. Here are some scenes from off the road.
We also managed to find the Culinary Institute of America at Greystone (closed for tours) and the The Richie Block Building in St Helena.

Before we headed back to Windsor, we came across the Peju Winery in Rutherford. The grounds were beautiful as was the large inside tasting room.
It was a wonderful trip and I can’t wait for the next phone call asking if I’d like to get away!
seems like you were lucky enough to get a day without these insane winds. Nice photographs.

Yes, but that was about 2 weeks ago. Hopefully tomorrow the winds will die down.

Thank you Sarah! I’m thinking I should have gotten closer, gone inside for the whole experience.

Beautiful place. When I was in Florida, we were invited to drink Napa wine and I found it exquisite.

Ana, unfortunately I don’t like wine, but the area is beautiful. I like to think of all the money I’m saving as good wine can be expensive.

Beautiful photos! I love Napa Valley! Michael and I have been fortunate to visit a couple of times. I love how the wineries are all unique……almost as if they are castles or cathedrals in their own way. Thanks for sharing your getaway!

Thanks Donna! I don’t like wine, but I do like the wineries and their grounds. One of the most beautiful is the Ironstone Winery in the Gold Country.

Not the best of weather, but the place makes up for it.

Here in California, we accept rain whenever it comes. I just have to get a rain jacket for my camera!
