It’s not John who has presented me with a challenge this morning, it’s Adobe! Lightroom and Photoshop lost my account. I tried to be a good Adobe user and follow their instructions, but so far it’s not working. So I resized my images with Microsoft, and hope they will be okay. Now back to John’s original challenge–the beauty of Autumn.
We do not get much of a leaf changing season here in Sacramento, so we travel to higher ground.
One place is Hope Valley (A mountain valley known for its fall colors, outdoor recreation, and historical significance as a route for Gold Rush emigrants.) It’s located on the eastern slope of the Sierra Nevada mountains. And it’s beautiful in the Fall season with the aspen trees changing color. All the photographers drive up there, about 1 1/2 hours away, to photograph “The Cabin.” It’s not occupied now, but it’s a landmark.

Here is another bit of Autumn in Hope Valley.

Let’s travel north up Highway 49, still in the Sierra Nevada mountains, to the Empire Mine State Historic Park. We happened to be at the right place at the right time–when the Gingko trees were changing color.

Let’s go back down south on Highway 49 to Apple Hill which is known for many apple farms, apple pie, and apple everything.

That’s about it for Fall color. When you post your beautiful colors, please remember to link to John’s post and use the Len’s Artists tag. I really enjoyed reading about and seeing your images posted for Joanne’s “Everyone Should See This.”
Richard and I will be cruising for the next three weeks, and not taking our computers. Yes, not even one! This means, I won’t be able to post or comment on posts. I’ll see you again in November. In the meantime, stay safe and live in gratitude!
Oh, Anne! These are stunning. Fall is my favorite season. Sorry Adobe gave you such fits, but I’m glad Microsoft came through for you.

Thanks Donna! I’ll give Adobe’s instructions another try. They may have to work their magic for me.

Sounds absolutely wonderful. I follow a couple on YouTube who take frequent cruises. They film the whole experience. Frankly, I don’t know how they have any time to enjoy the cruise because they’re so busy creating content for their channel. Half the time they are filming and the other half they are in their cabin editing the video on their laptop.

Thanks David! That’s why I’m not processing any photos, just storing the SD cards. I’d rather see sights and have a good time with our friends.

Sorry to hear you had computer woes too, Anne.
Beautiful fall colours in your images. Every season has it’s beauty, but Autumn (and Spring) are my favourite seasons. I even like dead Autumn leaves on the ground and I walk along the streets.
Hope you have an enjoyable cruise. Nothing like a change of scenery to refresh our spirits.

Thanks Vicki! Every autumn there’s a blanket of leaves on the grass areas in my community. It’s a beautiful sight. Hope you find your pictures.

Wonderful autumn views, Anne! The Sierras do put on a great show! I remember Sacramento’s peak leaf changes were around Veterans Day and Thanksgiving. Enjoy your cruise!!

Glorious colours, Anne. Over here, our trees are still mostly green, despite cooler temps.

So beautiful – I can understand you go higher up to get them – they are truly worth it! And I hope you will have a great time without computers! I still remember the times we did not have any, and the weeks we spent every winter in a cottage up north without phones, electricity or any modern conveniences. I am convinced this is good for us all.

Thanks John! I’m hoping when I go into Lightroom today, it will be working fine. Adobe did send me a new Adobe ID which makes me think it wasn’t a password problem.

It sounds like you might be right. Interesting problem. I hope it’s fixed for you.

Me too. Remember the password problem I had with WordPress?

These days our blogs, galleries, even our digital junk drawers need Fort Knox-level security. Gone are the carefree times when ‘password’ was a perfectly acceptable password. >grin<

I’m sorry to hear about your Photoshop issues, I hope you get them sorted. But certainly these photos all came out just fine. I love the one of the cabin, and I enjoyed seeing Empire Mine State Park in those glorious colours, especially as it was too hot when we were there last year to properly explore. Enjoy your trip!

Thanks Sarah! The Mine is just beautiful in Autumn, especially around the Cottage. I will enjoy my trip. We don’t go on many these days.
