What happens when you go on weekly photo outings and then get busy with other things? You forget to post your pictures! Yes, I have a few from the later part of 2024 to show you. These were taken at Chalk It Up, Effie Yeaw Nature Center, Rollins Lake, The American River and the Yolo Countryside.

There’s more to come. I’ll post those next week–I hope!
Lovely shots. Whenever you post is fine by me.

Anne, what a wonderful post! I need to get in the habit of doing a photo walk once a week. With the crazy weather we have, sometimes it’s impossible, though. I loved these photos.

Thanks Egidio! When the weather is bad, we go indoors to antique shops, nurseries that have partial covered spots, and museums. Where there’s a will there’s a way!

Lovely series, Anne, especially the walking boots and roses.
You’re not the only photographer who forgets to post photos. Gone are my early days as an amateur nature photographer when I would download the day’s shots as soon as I arrived home from my walk. I’d edit them almost immediately and delete the worst, then sharing at least 3 posts that night. Now I’m lucky to upload and share once a week or less.

Thanks Vicki! Forget is becoming my middle name. I can’t multitask like I used to.

Lots of variety in these images, Anne! How fun to go on weekly photo outings. I love seeing the images from Chalk it Up, and glad to see it’s still an event. Is it still in East Portal Park?

Thanks Terri! Chalk It Up is in Fremont Park. During the Covid pandemic, many artists used the sidewalks outside their homes!

A great idea to offer us this random catch-up selection – it makes for a lovely gallery 😀 The Chalk It Up artists are so talented!

Thanks Sarah! The Chalk It Up artists put so much into creating their square block of sidewalk only to have it fade away. What dedication.
