Learning to operate the camera on shutter priority

This was the first time I tried to use shutter priority. We were at Old Sacramento, Sacramento, CA. ImageThere was no¬†wind, so I had to spin the spheres myself. Since then, I’ve learned that there is a setting in my camera under White Balance for bright sunlight. That might have helped with the sun flare. No, I can’t PhotoShop it out yet. I need to learn the camera first!

Just have fun

This blog is for new photographers, amateur photographers and professional photographers. Please post your photos, comment on others, give advice. Let’s learn in a fun atmosphere. Looking forward to seeing your photos.

Learning At Slow Shutter Speed

That’s what I feel like I’m doing–learning at a slow shutter speed! I’ve recently returned to the world of photography and everything is different. The last time I used my film SLR was about 25 years ago. Since then I’ve been taking pictures with a point and shoot. I’m finding the dSLR so different, so complicated and so challenging.

That’s why I started this blog. I’m hoping to interact with other photographers (professional and¬†amateur) and wannabes like me. I encourage you to post pictures, critique the ones I post, etc.
